Utilizing Fertilizer Technologies to Reduce Nitrate Leaching in the Central Sands Region of WisconsinLeaching of nitrate into the groundwater has been a continuing and extensively researched problem in the sandy soils of Wisconsin. However, no proven solution to this problem has been identified as yet. Research results from our studies in 2009 showed that several products had potential in reducing nitrate-nitrogen (NO 3-N) leaching.
